Obviously, the recently held Annual General Meeting of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) in Asaba, Delta State provided the members another opportunity to deliberate on the several issues and challenges threatening their companies as well as business survival.
The Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) re-elected Prince Tunde Adedoyin as President, for second term running between 2017 to 2019 while other executive list includes Mr. Emmanuel Ajufo as Vice president, Mr. Femi Ogala as Secretary, Mr. Tunde Oyekan as Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Dupe Adewuyi as Treasurer and Mr Obi Nnaobi as Publicity Secretary. The Ex-officio members are Dr. Charles Chijide (the immediate past president) of Charella Limited, Mr. Churchill Nwagwu of Spreadout Media Limited and Mr. George Onwujiariri of Mario Sanctus Limited.
Other highlights of the AGM includes the induction of six new member companies while two member companies were upgraded to full membership at 32nd Annual General Meeting of the association held in Asaba, Delta State between July 26 and 29, 2017. The newly inducted companies include Afromedia Airports Limited, Audience and Brands Consulting Limited, Interlink Multiconcept Limited, Yellowstrip Limited, Landmark Limited and Adscape Limited while Ocean Outdoor Limited and Dynamic Display Marketing and Communications Limited were upgraded to full membership.
The re-elected President, Prince Tunde Adedoyin stated that the association has been facing some challenges in recent times and went further to reeled out his scorecard in his first two years in office.
He said that his tenure has strengthened the bond of unity amongst members in relating with one another business-wise and socially, set up a library within the body’s Secretariat, made efforts to conduct a detailed research work on outdoor advertising industry, able to facilitate negotiations with the APC as a party to pay the debts owed some outdoor advertising agencies, worked assiduously on getting payments for debts owed members by Globacom Telecommunications Limited as well as ringing on board more quality members to the association.
The Exco led by Adedoyin equally got prominent Nigerians to become Patrons of the association included Professor Pat Utomi.
